For  Coffee

For coffee

Drinking coffee is by far one of the greatest pleasures for the Greeks. Our national drink probably costs more than it should, but lasts longer than anywhere else. The average time devoted to this beloved habit is at least 40 minutes; drinking coffee is kind of a ritual almost for every Greek. 85% of all Greeks drink coffee, whereas only 15% drink tea and 7% chocolate beverages.

When it comes to coffee, the choices are many: greek coffee, frape, filtered coffee, espresso, cappuccino and so on... Each kind of coffee carries a different culture. Its own place, time and social dimension. The greek coffee is the traditional choice, the coffee of our parents in a way. On the other hand, instant coffee, such as frappe and nescafe, is the youth's choice.
